Brightfield Module
Project Description
Our client contracted us to finish the development of a bright field illumination module for their live cell imaging platform. We built the initial prototype and manufactured the product until it was replaced by the next generation module, which we also developed and currently manufacture.

Conceptual Development
Optically the system consists of an LED, diffuser, iris, and a condenser lens which the client determined to be appropriate for their system.
Engineering Design
Eggenberger Automation developed the mechanical design housing the optics and the base station containing the driver board. The new Brightfield Module uses the same Base Station but the optics and design have changed.
The Finished Product
We make all of the machined parts in-house on our CNC Turning Centers, buy purchased components, assemble, and test the units. This product is an example of a design project that evolved into manufacturing.
