Project Description
Eggenberger Automation was contracted to design a new imaging platform to replace the client’s existing technology. The scope of the project was to develop new concepts, completely revise the old system, and add new features to it, which are explained below.

Product Enhancements
New features included a custom objective lens focus drive and objective lens changing mechanism. We worked closely with the client so that the optical requirements were satisfied.
Meeting Expectations
Provisions for a dichroic filter turret were added to enhance the capabilities of the new product. Then we repackaged all optics in a rigid machined aluminum frame.
The Finished Product
Aside from the optical chassis, a new sheet metal housing was designed to accommodate the changes. The client received the complete design as the deliverable.
